Doctrinal Statement of Living Word International

1. We believe the complete Bible, both Old and New Testaments, constitutes the divinely inspired Word of God, inerrant in the original writings and infallible in its contents. It is the ultimate and final authority for life and truth.
2. We believe there is one true God, eternally existing in three Persons, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each Person possesses a distinct personality and office in this triune, biblical view.
3. We believe that Jesus Christ is God's eternal Son. He is true God and true man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. We believe in His sinless life, His substitutionary atonement, His bodily resurrection from the dead, His ascension into heaven; His intercessory office for His children, and His personal, visible return from heaven.
4. We believe that the human race, male and female, was created in the image of God and free from sin. But through the initial fall and disobedience, every human being inherits the sinful nature and rebels against God. Therefore, all the human race is spiritually dead.
5. We believe that salvation comes by faith in Jesus Christ, purchased by His precious blood on the cross. All who believe are saved. No human merit, works or rituals can save man; he must accept God's gift of grace and mercy. After the salvation experience, daily sanctification should lead to a life of holiness and good works.
6. We believe in the pretribulational, premillennial return of Jesus Christ. He will return as King of kings and Lord of lords, and righteously judge the saved for their good works and the unsaved for their failure to believe and trust Him.
7. We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and lost--that is, the eternal existence of all human beings in either heaven or hell. The saved will enjoy the presence of Christ forever and ever, and the unsaved will experience a conscious absence from God and heaven.
